Overview
Calgary Transit CTrain - MonTrac is a light rail transit system in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is operated by Calgary Transit, the city's public transit agency. The system consists of two lines: the Red Line and the Blue Line. The Red Line runs from Tuscany in the northwest to Somerset-Bridlewood in the southeast, while the Blue Line runs from Downtown West Kerby in the west to Saddletowne in the northeast.
History
The CTrain system was first opened in 1981 with the opening of the Red Line. The Blue Line was added in 1985. The system has been expanded several times since then, with the most recent expansion being the opening of the Green Line in 2012.
