Kangaroo is a classic board game for two players, played on a 7x7 grid. The goal of the game is to move your kangaroos around the board and capture your opponent's kangaroos.

The game is played with 12 kangaroos of each color, for a total of 24 kangaroos. Each player starts the game with their kangaroos arranged in a row on one side of the board.

On your turn, you can move one of your kangaroos one space in any direction (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). You can also jump over your own kangaroos, but you cannot jump over your opponent's kangaroos.

If you land on a space occupied by one of your opponent's kangaroos, you capture that kangaroo. Captured kangaroos are removed from the board.

The game ends when one player has captured all of their opponent's kangaroos.

Strategy

There are a few basic strategies that can help you win at Kangaroo.

* Control the center of the board. The center of the board is the most important area, as it gives you the most control over the game. Try to move your kangaroos into the center of the board as early as possible.

* Don't be afraid to jump. Jumping is a powerful move that can allow you to capture your opponent's kangaroos or move your own kangaroos into better positions. However, be careful not to jump into a position where your kangaroo can be captured.

* Think ahead. Kangaroo is a game of strategy, so it's important to think ahead and anticipate your opponent's moves. Try to predict where your opponent will move their kangaroos and plan your moves accordingly.

Variations

There are many variations of Kangaroo, including:

* Giant Kangaroo: Played on a 9x9 grid with 16 kangaroos of each color.

* Super Kangaroo: Played on a 11x11 grid with 20 kangaroos of each color.

* Kangaroo Chess: Played on an 8x8 chessboard with 12 kangaroos of each color.
