AlmunasseqAlmunasseq is a complex and engrossing strategy game that combines elements of chess, go, and shogi. The game is played on a 9x9 board with pieces that move in a variety of ways. The goal of the game is to capture the opponent's king, while protecting your own.
The game is played with two sets of pieces: black and white. Each set of pieces consists of the following:
* 1 King
* 1 Queen
* 2 Rooks
* 2 Knights
* 2 Bishops
* 8 Pawns
The pieces are arranged on the board in the same way as in chess. The game begins with the white player making the first move.
The pieces move in the following ways:
* King: The king can move one space in any direction.
* Queen: The queen can move any number of spaces along a rank, file, or diagonal.
* Rook: The rook can move any number of spaces along a rank or file.
* Bishop: The bishop can move any number of spaces diagonally.
* Knight: The knight can move in an "L" pattern: two spaces in one direction and then one space perpendicularly.
* Pawn: The pawn can move one space forward, or two spaces forward on its first move. Pawns capture diagonally forward one space.
The game is won by the player who captures the opponent's king. The game can also end in a draw if neither player can capture the other's king.
