AZFamily News Phoenix is a local news and weather station serving the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. It is owned by TEGNA Inc. and is affiliated with CBS.

History

AZFamily News Phoenix was founded in 1955 as KPHO-TV. The station was originally owned by Meredith Corporation. In 1997, Meredith sold KPHO-TV to LIN Media. In 2015, LIN Media merged with Media General to form TEGNA Inc.

Programming

AZFamily News Phoenix produces a variety of local news and weather programming. The station's flagship newscast is "3 On Your Side," which airs weeknights at 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. AZFamily News Phoenix also produces a morning newscast, "Good Morning Arizona," which airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.

In addition to its local newscasts, AZFamily News Phoenix also produces a variety of weather programming. The station's chief meteorologist is Mark Curtis.
