Chinatown StoughtonChinatown Stoughton is a tile-laying game for 2-4 players aged 10 and up. The goal of the game is to score the most points by building businesses, connecting them to roads, and completing contracts.
The game is played on a hexagonal board made up of 18 tiles. Each tile has a different type of terrain, such as a building site, a road, or a park. Players take turns placing tiles on the board, trying to create the most valuable businesses and connect them to the most roads.
Businesses are built by placing two or more tiles of the same type next to each other. The type of business that is built depends on the tiles that are used. For example, placing two factory tiles next to each other will create a factory.
Roads are built by placing road tiles next to each other. Roads can be used to connect businesses to each other and to the outside of the board.
Contracts are completed by connecting businesses to each other in a specific way. For example, one contract might require you to connect a factory to a market.
The game ends when all of the tiles have been placed on the board. The player with the most points wins the game.
Gameplay
Chinatown Stoughton is a relatively simple game to learn, but it can be challenging to master. The key to success is to plan your moves carefully and to try to anticipate what your opponents are going to do.
The game starts with each player being dealt a hand of tiles. Players then take turns placing tiles on the board. On your turn, you can either place a tile from your hand or draw a new tile from the deck.
When you place a tile, you must follow these rules:
* The tile must be placed next to at least one other tile.
* The tile must match the terrain of the tile that it is placed next to.
* The tile cannot be placed on top of another tile.
Once you have placed a tile, you can then take one of the following actions:
* Build a business. To build a business, you must place two or more tiles of the same type next to each other. The type of business that is built depends on the tiles that are used.
* Build a road. To build a road, you must place two or more road tiles next to each other. Roads can be used to connect businesses to each other and to the outside of the board.
* Complete a contract. To complete a contract, you must connect businesses to each other in a specific way. For example, one contract might require you to connect a factory to a market.
Scoring
Players score points by building businesses, connecting them to roads, and completing contracts.
* Businesses are worth 1 point each.
* Roads are worth 1 point each.
* Contracts are worth 3 points each.
The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Tips
Here are a few tips to help you win at Chinatown Stoughton:
* Plan your moves carefully. Try to anticipate what your opponents are going to do and plan your moves accordingly.
* Don't be afraid to block your opponents. If you can block your opponents from completing a contract, it will give you a big advantage.
* Try to complete contracts as early as possible. Contracts are worth 3 points each, so they can give you a big boost in points.
* Don't be afraid to draw new tiles. If you don't have a good tile in your hand, don't be afraid to draw a new one. You might get lucky and draw a tile that you can use to complete a contract or block your opponents.
