Knott's Berry Farm is a 160-acre (65 ha) theme park located in Buena Park, California, United States. It is owned and operated by Cedar Fair, L.P. Knott's Berry Farm features 165 acres (67 ha) of attractions, shows, and dining options, including Camp Snoopy, the Knott's Berry Farm Railroad, and Ghost Town.

History

Knott's Berry Farm was founded in 1920 by Walter Knott, who opened a roadside berry stand on his farm. In 1934, Knott added a chicken dinner restaurant to his stand, and in 1940, he opened a ghost town attraction. The ghost town was a success, and Knott's Berry Farm began to grow into a theme park.

In the 1950s, Knott's Berry Farm added several new attractions, including the Calico Mine Ride, the Timber Mountain Log Ride, and the Sky Jump. In the 1960s, the park added the Knott's Berry Farm Railroad, the Camp Snoopy children's area, and the Knott's Soak City water park.

In the 1970s, Knott's Berry Farm added the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel, the Knott's Berry Farm Marketplace, and the Knott's Berry Farm Ice Arena. In the 1980s, the park added the Knott's Berry Farm Monorail, the Knott's Berry Farm Sky Cabin, and the Knott's Berry Farm Wilderness Dance Theatre.

In the 1990s, Knott's Berry Farm added the Knott's Berry Farm Boardwalk, the Knott's Berry Farm Mystery Lodge, and the Knott's Berry Farm Supreme Scream. In the 2000s, the park added the Knott's Berry Farm Xcelerator, the Knott's Berry Farm Pony Express, and the Knott's Berry Farm Silver Bullet.
