MatchUp is a strategy card game for two or more players, combining elements of poker and collectible card games. Each player assembles a deck of cards featuring unique characters, abilities, and power levels. The goal is to outplay your opponents by matching cards, building powerful combinations, and ultimately reducing their health to zero.

Gameplay:

The game begins with each player drawing a hand of cards. On their turn, a player can take one of three actions:

* Play a Card: Players can play a character card from their hand onto the table. Character cards have various abilities and power levels.

* Match Cards: If a player has two or more matching cards on the table, they can combine them into a single, more powerful card. Matching cards grants additional bonuses and abilities.

* Attack: Players can use the power levels of their cards to attack their opponents. Attacks can be directed at any player, and the damage dealt is equal to the difference in power levels between the attacking and defending cards.

Card Types:

MatchUp features a wide variety of card types, each with its own unique abilities and effects. Some common card types include:

* Character Cards: Represent characters with varying power levels and abilities.

* Action Cards: Provide temporary effects or bonuses, such as healing, card draw, or protection.

* Power Cards: Enhance the power levels of other cards or grant special abilities.

* Wild Cards: Can be used as any other card, providing flexibility and strategic options.

Deck Building:

Before a game, players construct their own decks of 20 cards. Deck building is a crucial aspect of MatchUp, as it allows players to tailor their strategy and adapt to different opponents. Players must consider card synergies, power levels, and the overall balance of their deck.

Winning the Game:

The game ends when one player's health reaches zero. The last player standing is the winner. MatchUp offers multiple game modes, including standard play, tournament mode, and cooperative play.

Strategy and Skill:

MatchUp requires a combination of strategy and skill to master. Players must carefully consider their card choices, anticipate their opponents' moves, and adapt their strategy on the fly. The game rewards players who can effectively manage their resources, control the flow of the game, and execute powerful combinations.
