Sortli is a puzzle game centered around the manipulation and organization of colorful liquids within a set of containers. The core gameplay loop involves strategically pouring liquids from one container to another, with the ultimate goal of separating each color into its own dedicated container. The containers are typically glass tubes or bottles, and the liquids are distinguished by their distinct hues.

The challenge lies in the restrictions placed on pouring. Players can only pour liquid from the top of one container into another if the destination container has sufficient empty space and the liquid being poured matches the color of the liquid already at the top of the destination container. This means that careful planning and foresight are essential to avoid getting stuck or creating situations where a container is filled with a mix of colors that cannot be easily separated.

The difficulty of Sortli increases progressively as players advance through the levels. This progression is achieved by introducing more colors, increasing the number of containers, and starting with more complex liquid arrangements.
