UNGO is an abstract strategy game for two players, played on a 9x9 grid. The goal of the game is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them from moving.

Gameplay:

The game begins with each player placing nine pieces on the board, in any arrangement they choose. Players take turns moving one piece at a time. Pieces can move one space in any direction (orthogonally or diagonally) to an empty space.

Capture:

If a piece moves adjacent to an opponent's piece, it captures that piece and removes it from the board. A piece can capture multiple opponent's pieces in a single move if they are all adjacent to it.

Blocking:

A player can block an opponent's piece by moving a piece adjacent to it. A blocked piece cannot move until the blocking piece is removed.

Special Moves:

There are two special moves in UNGO:

* Jump: A piece can jump over an adjacent piece (friend or foe) to an empty space beyond it.

* Split: A piece can split into two smaller pieces, each of which can move independently. Split pieces can be recombined later in the game.

Endgame:

The game ends when one player has captured all of their opponent's pieces or has blocked all of their opponent's pieces from moving. The player who achieves this wins the game.

Strategy:

UNGO is a game of strategy and tactics. Players must consider the following factors when making their moves:

* Control the center: The center of the board is strategically important, as it gives pieces more mobility and options for capture.

* Protect your pieces: Avoid leaving your pieces exposed to capture. Block your pieces with other pieces or use jumps to escape danger.

* Plan ahead: Think several moves ahead and anticipate your opponent's possible responses.

* Use special moves wisely: Jumps and splits can be powerful tools, but use them sparingly and strategically.
