Vaporetto is a strategy board game designed by Paolo Mori and published by DV Giochi. Players take on the roles of vaporetto (water bus) operators in Venice, Italy, competing to transport tourists and earn the most victory points.

Gameplay

The game is played over a series of rounds, each consisting of two phases:

* Action Phase: Players take turns placing their vaporetto tokens on the game board, representing the various waterways of Venice. They can move their vaporetto, pick up or drop off passengers, or construct new vaporetto stops.

* Income Phase: Players collect income based on the number of passengers they have transported and the value of their vaporetto stops.

Passengers and Stops

Passengers come in different colors and have different point values. Players aim to transport passengers to their matching destinations, earning points for each successful delivery. Vaporetto stops can be upgraded to increase the number of passengers that can be transported or the income earned from them.

Special Actions

In addition to the basic actions, players can use special actions to gain an advantage. These include:

* Gondola: Allows a player to move their vaporetto along a gondola route.

* Ticket: Grants a player extra income or allows them to move their vaporetto further.

* Bridge: Connects two waterways, allowing players to access new areas of the map.

End Game

The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds. The player with the most victory points, earned through transporting passengers, constructing vaporetto stops, and completing special objectives, wins the game.
