Sony filed lawsuit against Modiram Light survival game
Last week, Sony filed a lawsuit over a survival game called "Modiram Light", which the PlayStation parent company called it a "blind copy" of the Horizon series. The outcome of the lawsuit is yet to be determined, but for now, this seems to be enough to prompt developers to clear out the "evidence" elements on the "Modiram Light" Steam page that best reflects the similarity to "Horizon".
"Modiram Light" was developed by Tencent's subsidiary Polaris Quest. Its Steam page once showed screenshots of robot mastodons, repeatedly mentioning other "giant machinery". There is also a banner showing a girl who is easily described as "animation version of Eloy".
The page even has a dynamic GIF on the page, which is about a human character fighting a giant mecha on a robot horse - squinted and it is easy to mistake it for the footage in the trailer of "Horizon".
Most of these materials have been removed from the Steam page now, but now this game looks more like a work that is simply in a similar style than a "solid version of "Horizon".
