Bethesda has launched a new update for Fallout 76, which includes a large number of changes, vulnerability fixes and adjustments. The update is released as speculation and rumors about the future of the Fallout series continue to ferment, which may involve development plans for a number of new games.

Although the first release of "Fallout 76" at the end of 2018 was in trouble due to controversy, the game has regained its life through many expansions and major updates over the years. Recent updates, such as Ghoul Within and Gone Fission, have introduced many of the features players are eagerly looking forward to, such as the ability to fish and transform into a ghoul. While there are still some problems with the game, now may be the best time to experience Fallout 76, especially if rumors about the new Fallout game are true.

The update of "Fallout 76" released by Bethesda on July 22 is 1.7.21.8. According to the newly announced patch notes, the update has considerable file sizes on Xbox/PC and PlayStation platforms, with an average of between 15 and 22GB. This is mainly because the update contains a lot of changes, involving C.A.M.P. (building system), combat balance, ghoul ability, fishing gameplay, weapons, costumes, user interface, and other miscellaneous fixes. Highlights worth noting include: the construction limit of multiple flags has been greatly increased from 3 to 25; fixes on the issue of unusable Alien Blaster Rounds for alien enemies in Daily Ops; adjustments to the Snorkel Mask to protect against air hazards; and multiple text bug fixes and help menu updates. More changes are expected to arrive in the fall update.

In addition, this update focuses on fixing vulnerabilities related to the transformation of the ghoul. It fixes the issue of Bomb Scientist's skill incorrectly exerting persistent damage; solves anomaly in which ghouls can still get sick despite their natural resistance; and ensures that certain head equipment does not show any stretching deformation when worn by ghouls.

Similar to previous updates, this time also includes a series of user interface optimizations and quality of life improvements. The Feral entry in the Help menu has been updated, and all ghoul-related skill cards now have unique green borders and burnt card textures to make it easier to identify. Fixed an issue where the mod list text and item status boxes overlapped with other menus and ensured that paid item names in various Atomic Shops correctly displayed their exclusive logo.
