Implication? Dante's English voice actor blurted out "Devil May Cry 6" in an interview
The adapted animation of Capcom's IP "Devil May Cry" and Netflix collaborated with it recently launched, with mixed reviews. Some players are dissatisfied with the changes in character and background settings, and some people think that works as parallel worlds are acceptable. What is even more noticeable is that Reuben Langdon, the official voice actor of Dante in the English version of the Devil May Cry series, suspected of revealing the existence of Devil May Cry 6 in a recent interview.
When an interview with YouTube channel CultureScape, Langdon talked about why "DmC Devil May Cry" in 2013 was a failed restart work. Then he suddenly mentioned that "Capcom brought back "Devil May Cry 6", but soon changed his words and said it was "Devil May Cry 5". Although it was obviously a slip of the tongue, this detail still made fans of the series think a lot. After all, it has been more than six years since the release of "Devil May Cry 5", and the global sales of the game exceeded 8.9 million copies.
In August last year, Hideaki Izuno, a well-known producer of the "Devil May Cry" series, suddenly announced his resignation. At that time, some players speculated that this might mean that "Devil May Cry 6" has a preliminary plan, but he is no longer responsible for the subsequent development. Now Langdon's "slip error" has made this speculation even more rampant. Capcom has not responded to this yet.
