No wonder the computer becomes stuck! Microsoft confirms that there is stability issues with Win11 24H2
After the release of Windows 11 24H2 version, problems occur frequently: users encounter blue screen of death during upgrades, and subsequent cumulative updates have caused new problems. After the update in May 2025, some devices experienced performance declines, and the frame rate was abnormal when running games such as Fortnite and CS:GO. Initially suspected it was related to NVIDIA drivers, but the final confirmation was caused by the monthly cumulative update of Windows.
Microsoft fixed this performance issue in the optional update of KB5062660 released on July 22, 2025. The support document says it solves "a few stability problems that occurred after the May security update", but the specific cause is not specified. The affected devices may experience unresponsiveness, such as stuttering when the Word switches the window, or slowing down when the game switches from the desktop.
Since this is an optional update, it will not be downloaded automatically, however, users will get these fixes when Microsoft releases the Windows 11 patch Tuesday update on August 12, 2025.
