PS PlusAugust Benefits: 15th Anniversary Avatars and Three Free Games
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that PlayStation Plus subscription members will receive additional benefits on August 5. In addition to the regular monthly free games, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of PS Plus service, all members at the stall can receive five limited avatars for free, based on popular games such as "Cyberpunk 2077", "Diablo 4", "Rabbit of Ragnarok", "Legend of Hogwarts" and "Twisted Metal". These commemorative avatars will be downloaded from 10 a.m. Pacific time on August 5, and the specific collection time limit has not been announced yet.
As the main benefit of August, the three free game lineups include: the soul-like action game "Pinocchio's Lies", the survival shooting classic "DayZ" and the fighting game "My Hero Academy 2" adapted from "My Hero Academy". All members of the gear can receive it from August 6th. After receiving it, you can enjoy it forever.
It is worth noting that PS Plus Extra and Premium gear members will also receive game library updates on August 19. Among them, the deep-sea exploration game "Sword of the Ocean" will be added as the first work, and the list of other new games is to be further disclosed by the official. This continues Sony's strategy of adding "first release" games to its subscription service in recent years, providing more exclusive value for premium members.
Analysts pointed out that although this 15th anniversary commemoration event did not involve the game expansion, it enhanced the sense of belonging to members through the form of limited digital collections. As Xbox Game Pass continues to make efforts, PS Plus is consolidating its 250 million PlayStation user base through differentiated content. As of press time, Sony has not announced the lineup of games that will be free of charge in September, but the practice will be announced in the last week of August.
