Bad review bombing! "Looking for Battle" harmonious content plan angers PC players!

　　The popular tactical shooting game "Hold on the Front" has recently encountered a large-scale "bad review bombing" on the Steam platform. A large number of players expressed strong dissatisfaction with the content conducted by developer Void Interactive on the eve of the release of the game console version.

　　The PC version of "Holding on Battle" has been launched for several years, and after its official release in December 2023, the highest number of simultaneous online players exceeded 55,000, achieving remarkable success.

Earlier this year, studio Void Interactive announced that it would port this tactical shooter to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms, which is expected to be launched on July 15, 2025.

However, in order to meet the requirements of PlayStation and Xbox platforms, Void Interactive recently announced that it will modify violent and nude content in the game. Since some of the changes will also be applied to the PC version simultaneously to support cross-platform play, this move quickly aroused strong dissatisfaction in the PC player community and led to a large-scale "bad review bombing".

Affected by this, the "recent review" status of "Awaiting for Battle" on Steam has dropped to "mixed reviews". The "bad review bombing" may continue, and the game's reviews may be further reduced.

Amid a large number of negative reviews, players generally expressed their dissatisfaction with the harmonious decision of Void Interactive. They believe that the PC player community should not bear the consequences of content being "castrated" for the game to be ported to the console platform. Some players even regard this modification of the mission content as a "betrayal" to existing players, and it is these players that drive the current growth and success of the game.
