Switch and Switch 2 have no mall BGM. Officially said it is afraid of interfering with players' browsing

However, since the Switch was launched, Nintendo has quietly canceled this setting. Recently, according to official news, the upcoming Switch 2 will not set up a mall BGM.

Nintendo's Wii, DSi, Wii U, 3DS and other hosts are equipped with exclusive mall BGMs, creating a unique shopping atmosphere for players. But in the Switch era, Nintendo abandoned this tradition, which made many players look forward to hearing the familiar cheerful melody again on the new console.

However, Switch 2 senior director Hiroichi Kawamoto recently revealed to the media that Switch 2 does not still not set up a mall BGM. The reason given by the official is that they do not want background music to interfere with players browsing the game because BGM may conflict with the game introduction.
