Final Fantasy: The Battle of Ivalis" remake new character battle dialogue added
In the latest PlayStation blog interview, game director Hiroshima Masaki revealed that the remake of "Final Fantasy Strategy Edition: The Battle of Ivalis" will add new combat lines to classic characters such as Agrias and West Germany, making up for the regret of lack of interaction after the original (released in 1998). This tactical RPG legend remake, scheduled to be released on September 30, optimizes the operating experience for modern players on the basis of retaining the core gameplay, and makes partial adjustments to the script in response to the full voice.
Although the State of Play press conference announced the remake news in June 2025, it confirmed that the cutscene content added to the 2007 PSP version of "Lion War" caused dissatisfaction among some old players, the expansion of this dialogue system is regarded as a targeted improvement to the pain points of the series "thin character shaping". It is interesting to note that the expensive collector's version has caused controversy for not including the game body, but the version has been sold out worldwide.
Hai Hiroshima said that if the market performance of this remake is excellent, it may promote the restart of the "Final Fantasy Strategy" series. As the game approaches its 30th anniversary, the development team hopes that this work, known as the "greatest tactical game in history", can conquer a new generation of players with its profound political narrative and unique tilt 45-degree perspective gameplay.
