"Requiem" rumors resurrection: Lyon may return with the dual timeline gameplay!

Sep 23 2025

The rumors about Lyon S. Kennedy appearing in Resident Evil: Requiem continue to ferment. The latest leak further reveals the confirmed two-line gameplay that the heroine Grace Ashcroft and this classic character may use. The game is expected to be available on Switch2, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms on February 27, 2026, and Capcom's exhibition at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show may officially confirm the return of Lyon.

Although the Tokyo Game Show officially opened on September 25, Capcom has confirmed that it will hold a special live broadcast in the near future and announce the "Latest News". The recent suspected live-action video leak has made the audience full of expectations for this live broadcast, and most people predict that the relevant information about Lyon will be officially released.

The well-known whistleblower DuskGolem reiterated that Lyon will return and revealed that its plot line is set in 2020, and Grace's story "most (not all)" takes place in 2028. It is said that the Lyon chapter will focus more on action elements, but will avoid the exaggerated scene of Salazar's stone statue in Biochemistry 4; the Grace line adopts an open world design, and both chapters will retain the series' iconic horror atmosphere. The news specifically mentioned that Lyon will drive vehicles through multiple large levels to differentiate from previous works.

Although the past information of DuskGolem and other whistleblowers have high accuracy, these contents are still speculation before Capcom's official confirmation. Referring to the TGS practices over the years, players may wish to keep an eye on them to avoid missing major announcements.
