PS exclusive sells well! "Yotei Mountain" debuts at the top of Japan's physical game weekly sales list
According to the latest weekly sales estimates of Japanese physical game software announced by Japanese gaming media Famitsu, during the statistical period from September 29 to October 5, 2025, the PS5 exclusive game "Ghost of Yōtei" topped the list, with initial sales reaching 120,196 copies. Followed closely by "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Digimon Story: Spacetime Stranger".
"Ghost of Mount Yotei" is an open world adventure game developed by Sucker Punch as the sequel to "Ghost of Tsushima". The game is set in Hokkaido in 1603. Players will play the role of the female samurai "Atsushi", who embarks on a journey of revenge because her family was massacred by the "Six Yotei".
"Final Fantasy Tactics: Chronicle of Ivalice" sold 65,471 copies in its first release, and "Digimon Story: Spacetime Stranger" sold 23,779 copies.
In terms of hardware, Switch 2 sold 44,439 units, PlayStation 5 series sold 27,344 units, and Xbox series sold 837 units.
