It is revealed that a new "God of War" project with Greece as the background is under development in full swing and is expected to meet players this year.

At the time, there were rumors that the "God of War" series will launch a replica collection to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series. Recently, well-known game reporter Jeff Grubb revealed on Giant Bomb that a brand new "God of War" "Legend Project" will be officially launched this year, and its story is set in Greece full of mystery.

Recalling the first few works of the "God of War" series, they all take Greek mythology as the background and present players with thrilling adventures. However, the restart version of "God of War" launched in 2018 took a different approach and turned the story stage to Nordic myth. Although God of War director Cory Barlog has said that he does not intend to create a trilogy based on the new God of War, the ending of Ragnarok undoubtedly laid the groundwork for the follow-up story, making players look forward to the new development of the series.

Jeff Grubb further revealed on Bluesky: "Everyone has always been concerned about this issue, so I also try to learn more about it. This year there will be a project related to "God of War" in Greece, but it is not a replica collection, but a brand new outline project."

In addition, Grubb added: "I have never received exact news about the replica collection, but I asked a source for rumors about the collection, and they told me that there would be no news about God of War at the PlayStation launch, but there might be new updates on the series' anniversary."
