China's smartphone market shipment list: Huawei returns to top Xiaomi third!
Recently, a research report released by International Data Corporation (IDC) showed that the global smartphone market shipments in the second quarter of 2025 reached 297 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%. In the Chinese market, the top five manufacturers are Huawei, vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi and Apple, among which Apple is only a foreign manufacturer. Huawei successfully regained the top spot and took the lead again after four years.
Vivo ranks second. With its extensive customer base and cost-effective advantages, Xiaomi performed well in this quarter, becoming the only manufacturer among the top five to achieve positive growth. Through strategic price adjustments, Apple has enabled some iPhone 16 and 16 Pro versions to receive government subsidies, effectively reducing the decline in shipments.
