"Marvel Wolverine" matches the leaked information! Spider-Man 3 or wait until 2028
At this week's PS launch, "Marvel Wolverine" was officially unveiled and confirmed to be released in the fall of 2026. This time window is exactly in line with the previously leaked internal plans.
It is reported that in December 2023, Sony's Insomniac studio was attacked by a major hacker attack, and a large amount of internal information was leaked. The leaked documents not only reveal the studio's project plans for the next decade, but also include new works of "Marvel Wolverine", "Venom", "Ricky and the Clenchy" and "Marvel Spider-Man 3" and "X-Men" blockbuster games.
After the leak, Insomniac stated that despite the impact, the studio will still make every effort to promote the development of "Wolverine", and emphasized that the leaked information is only an early development version.
According to the leaked timeline, Insomniac originally planned to launch the "Venom" independent game in 2025, but at present, this plan may be difficult to achieve. Analysts speculate that some of Venom's content may be integrated into Marvel Spider-Man 3.
As for more future projects, leaked documents show that the new work of "Ricky and the Ding" is expected to be released in 2029, "Marvel Spider-Man 3" is scheduled to be released in 2028, and the "X-Men" game will not meet players until 2030.
Although these plans may have been adjusted, at least "Wolverine" is still advancing as planned, making players look forward to the future Marvel games.
