5090D V2 is on the shelves in Hong Kong, China: 1,400 yuan lower than the suggested retail price!
Recently, NVIDIA officially released a new version of the China-specific RTX 5090D v2 graphics card. Although the graphics memory has been reduced, the official suggested retail price is still the same as the RTX 5090D, at 16,499 yuan. Taiwan media unikoshardware found that Hong Kong retailer Faroll has launched the graphics card, with a starting price of HK$16,499, or approximately RMB 15,096, which is more than 1,400 yuan lower than the official price.
It is worth noting that although the RTX 5090 is not banned in Hong Kong, its price is much higher than normal, so the price of the RTX 5090D v2 ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 yuan cheaper than it.
From the gaming performance, RTX 5090D v2 is comparable to RTX 5090/D, so for game users, RTX 5090D v2 is undoubtedly a more cost-effective choice. For productivity and AI applications, RTX 5090/D still has an advantage in these fields.
In terms of specifications, the RTX 5090D v2 uses GB202-240 cores. The number of CUDA cores is the same as that of RTX 5090/D, both of which are 21,760, and the core frequency has not changed. The basic frequency is 2017MHz and the maximum acceleration frequency is 2407MHz.
In terms of video memory, the capacity of the RTX 5090D v2 has been reduced from 32GB of the RTX 5090D to 24GB, the video memory bit width has been reduced from 512-bit to 384-bit, the video memory speed remains at 28Gbps, and the video memory bandwidth has also been reduced accordingly, from 1792GB/s to 1344GB/s.
