Nacon Studio regains the right to develop WRC games! Will completely restart the WRC series
According to foreign media wccftech, after a period of copyright change, the game development rights of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) are now back in the hands of Nacon Studio.
Nacon was responsible for the development of the WRC series of games from 2015 to 2022. Now, they have signed a new agreement with WRC, once again gaining the rights to develop PC and console platform games for six seasons from 2027 to 2032.
Nacon said they will "completely restart" the WRC game, based on a new vision, providing an immersive experience and meeting the expectations of rally enthusiasts.
The open world racing game "Infinite Test Drive: Crown of the Sun" launched by Nacon's KT Racing team last year has a poor evaluation. Currently, Steam's positive review rate is 36% "mostly bad reviews". The negative reviews mainly revolve around the game's physical effects and bugs. It is not known whether Nacon will hand over the WRC series of games to the KT Racing team for development.
