Foreign media VGC quoted sales data revealed by insiders saying that "Assassins Creed Shadows" has become the second-ranked game in the history of the series, second only to "Assassins Creed Valhalla". Last week, Ubisoft announced that "Assassin's Creed: Shadow" was released in just two days, and its starting performance exceeded "Assassin's Creed: Origin" and "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey".

VGC said that the sales data they have shown that the revenue generation on Assassin's Creed: Shadows ranked second in the history of the series, second only to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

It should be pointed out that Assassin's Creed: Shadow was launched in March this year, and other works in the series usually choose to be released in the more profitable Thanksgiving schedule, and Valhalla also benefited from the significant sales increase during the epidemic, but Assassin's Creed: Shadow did not enjoy these advantages.

"Assassin's Creed: Shadow" set the best record for Ubisoft's first-day sales in the PlayStation Mall, and it is also the game with the largest number of wishlists that Ubisoft has ever been added to the most. In addition, the game has been viewed over 11 million hours on Twitch, showing the strongest opening trend in Ubisoft’s recent games, even surpassing Valhalla.

It is worth noting that the PC platform only accounts for about 27% of the total "activation volume", and the "activation volume" here may cover full sales and downloads through Ubisoft+ subscriptions, of which Steam plays a "key role" in this achievement.

"Assassin's Creed: Shadow" has encountered many obstacles and problems in its development process, such as content leakage. The game was originally scheduled to be released in November last year, first postponed to February 14, and then again postponed to March 20.

This news was confirmed by the official producer of Ubisoft.
