You can continue offline mode! At least two EA games will be out of service in 2025!
Recently, according to foreign media reports, at least two EA games will be suspended in 2025. EA regularly closes the game server, and in 2025 alone, many works have terminated services one after another - in fact, nine games were collectively suspended at the beginning of the year, kicking off this "great retreat".
The first wave of suspensions at the beginning of the year includes "McIrrouy Golf Tour", seven mobile games and "The Simpsons: Dry Up", which has been operating for many years. The latter is particularly sad. This game that has accumulated a large number of daily active users will ultimately be in trouble. "Ultimate Fighting Championship 3" was suspended in February, and "Ultimate Fighting Championship 2" and "NCAA Football 14" in March.
The most recent suspension is "Madden Rugby 21". After its server was closed on June 30, players cannot unlock all achievements/trophies, nor can they experience all game modes. At least two works will follow this year: "Madden Rugby 22" is scheduled to be suspended on October 20, and "FIFA 23" will be terminated on December 12. Although players can continue to offline mode after that, the complete gaming experience will be permanently missing.
The suspension of "FIFA 23" is particularly touching. This will be EA's last football game named FIFA. Although the gameplay of "EA Sports FC" after the name change is consistent, when the server is closed on December 12, players will still be saddened by the title that carries memories. EA regularly updates its suspension list, and more games may be added to the list before the end of 2025. It is currently known that "The Anthem" will be completely discontinued on January 12, 2026 - as a pure online game, this work will completely disappear by then. Players who want to experience it must seize the last time.
