"Ark Survival Evolution" designer responded to AI storm: It has nothing to do with the development team

  Recently, Snail Games, a developer of "Ark: Survival Evolution", has been in controversy over the latest DLC concept trailer "ARK: Aquatica". The trailer was questioned for using AI technology and was boycotted by a large number of players.

  During the GDC conference, game designer Matt Kohl responded to media Aftermath that the trailer was indeed completed by the marketing team using game materials and AI animation technology. But he particularly emphasized: "Ark: Survival Evolution" game development did not use AI technology throughout the entire process, and the marketing team's decision to choose AI to make trailers has nothing to do with the development team."

  At present, the Snail Games marketing department has not yet made a formal response to the "tearing dispute". Kohl said players will get more details before the DLC is officially released.

   Ark: Survival Evolution The new DLC "ARK: Aquatica" will be officially released in June 2025‌‌. It is understood that the DLC will bring 95% of the new underwater scenes and nonlinear plots under the water.
