CDPR financial report reveals that the launch date of "The Witcher 4" may be after 2027
In November last year, CD Projekt Red announced that "The Witcher 4" had entered the full-scale development stage, but the specific release date was not disclosed at that time. At the CD Projekt Group financial report meeting today (26th), the company's chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz revealed that this highly anticipated work is likely to not be released until 2027 at the earliest.
In the live financial report, Nielubowicz said for the first time when talking about the "comprehensive net profit target of the incentive plan", "Although we do not intend to launch "The Witcher 4" by the end of 2026, we are still working for this financial goal."
After the Q&A session, he further responded: "We will not announce the specific release date of the game for the time being. To make investors clearer, it is currently certain that the game will not be launched within the first target time frame of the incentive plan, which will end on December 31, 2026."
This means that there is very little hope of meeting "The Witcher 4" in 2026, and players may have to wait until 2027 or even later. Considering the series of problems caused by the premature release of "Cyberpunk 2077", fans of the "Witcher" series generally expressed their understanding and would rather wait for the game to be fully optimized before experiencing it.
