Junya Ishizaki explained that the duration of each game of "Elden Ring: Lord of Night" is approximately 3 days (in-game time), which is approximately equal to 40 minutes of actual game time. This setting stems from their desire to create a "condensed role-playing game" experience for players.

In addition, Ishizaki Jun also mentioned that "optimizing the clearance method" and "researching how to better clear the game" are ways to enjoy the game very much. He is also a speedrunning enthusiast himself, and believes that this style of play is a perfect fit for Underworld. Therefore, part of the game design was inspired by this "speedrunning" gameplay.

In "The King of Night", players will face 8 main bosses and a final boss.
