Anna's new look in "Iron Fist 8" has caused controversy, the producer responded and announced sales
Bandai Namco has previously publicly announced that Anna Williams will join the game "Tekken 8" as a DLC character with a renewed image. However, this image change has caused heated discussions among the game player group.
A player expressed his disappointment on the social media X platform, calling on the production team to restore Anna's old image, and bluntly stated that "replacing the original Anna with a new image is a kind of revenge by the developer to fans who have loved the character of Anna for many years."
In response to this remark, Katsuhiro Harada, the producer of the "Iron Fist" series, published a long article on social media in response, pointing out that even if most people may prefer a new image, there will always be objections. He stressed that the old design has been retained in past works and no one wants to take it away from the player, but this player does not represent all fans who like Anna.
To further illustrate the problem, Katsuhiro Harada also gave an example: "You once threatened that if you don't let the old image return, you won't play games. Now that the new image is out, you start to complain about wanting the old design. If the old image is really released, you will accuse this of unrealistic repetition. In any case, the way you express your views and the content of the argument are not constructive and meaningless. More importantly, doing so is disrespectful to other fans who really look forward to Anna's new image."
It is worth mentioning that just not long ago, Bandai Namco announced that the sales of "Iron Fist 8" exceeded 3 million copies within one year of its release, which exceeded the sales of "Iron Fist 7", which only reached 12 million copies worldwide ten years after its release.
