　　According to Xi'an Theater, the famous director Zhao Keming, who played the role of "Old Naughty Boy Grandpa" in "Happy Planet", died at 15:55 on October 4, 2025 at the age of 93.

Mr. Zhao Keming's artistic career began on the drama stage. He was admitted to the Drama Department of Northwest Art Institute in 1951 and entered the Xi'an Drama Theater after graduation. By 1965, he had played 28 main characters with different personalities in 26 dramas and had accumulated a deep acting foundation.

Faced with the challenges of the drama market in the 1980s, Mr. Zhao Keming demonstrated outstanding innovation ability. He, Guo Da and others brought sketches such as "In front of the delivery room" to the stage, triggering a trend of sketch creation. In 1987, his sketch "In front of the delivery room" appeared on CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and was loved by audiences across the country and was hailed as a "mile-mark" work in the history of sketches. Since then, he has become a popular candidate for the director of CCTV Spring Festival Gala sketches, directing about 100 sketches between 1989 and 1995, of which "Playing Poker" won the first prize of the 1994 Spring Festival Gala Most Popular by the audience.

　　Even after retirement, Mr. Zhao Keming was still concerned about the art of drama and served as an expert in the art committee of Xi'an Theater, providing advice for the creation of many subsequent works such as "Anesthesiologist" and "Liu Qing", and continuing to contribute to the development of the theater.

　　Mr. Zhao Keming's life is "pure art and passionate". His death is a loss in the art world, but the classic characters and artistic spirit he has created will be preserved in the memories of generations of audiences for a long time.
