Waited for ten years! The well-known MOD of "GTA4" has finally ushered in a major update!

　　After nearly 11 years of silence, the well-known MOD "iCEnhancer" released a major update on version 4.0 on July 14. Developed by Hayssam Keilany, the MOD is known for comprehensively improving the quality of the game: optimizes the lighting system, enhances the reflection effect, and brings visual upgrades that are visible to the naked eye.

This game, which was released in 2008, is still regarded as the best in the series, and its hard-core narrative and immersive open world are of great significance. iCEnhancer launched in 2011 makes Liberty City present a picture level close to modern games through realistic lighting, material remake and atmosphere enhancement. However, after the release of version 3.0 in 2014, Keilany fell into a period of creative burnout due to doubts from the MOD community, and the project entered an indefinite shelving state.

　　In 2019, Keilany announced her comeback. After a long period of development, she finally launched this version of a major update spanning ten years on July 14. Version 4.0 introduced a physical lighting system for the first time, achieving technological breakthroughs, while optimizing shader performance, improving the impact of fog effect and cloud rendering on the light and shadow engine, and comprehensively improving operational efficiency. Other improvements include a more realistic sky effect, a reshaped glass material, and an ENB compatibility fix for Windows 11. The developers call this the most stable and optimized version yet.

　　The MOD community responded enthusiastically, and some players sighed that "I finally waited for this day, and my hard work was worthy of my name." Some people joked that "I hope the rumored remake will have this picture quality."
