Famous voice actor suspected of accusing Korami of using his voice without authorization
Recently, Korami announced the withdrawal of two multilingual battle videos of "Oh Yu-Gi-World Championship 2025" using AI-generated commentary. The videos were originally a trial of its introduction of live AI commentary in the upcoming event on August 29.
Before the video was removed, there were doubts and pointed out that its Japanese AI commentary was suspected of using his voice data for training without the consent of well-known voice actor and singer Hibiku Yamamura. On September 6, Yamabianxiang posted on the X platform that it found that its voice was used for AI commentary without authorization. Although it was not directly named, the content clearly pointed to Korami Video. She said she felt "sad, powerless and frustrated" about this and said she had entrusted the firm to handle the follow-up matters.
Korami responded that the AI model "Anneli" used comes from the open source commercial voice synthesis system "Aivis Project", and the company "respects all creators and is conducting investigations", and emphasized that the technology has not been applied to "Yu-Gi-Gi-Master Duel".
On the other hand, the creator of the Anneli model publicly admitted on August 30 that the model did use the voice data of its previously dubbed adult game characters without permission from Shanbianxiang and related game publishers. At present, the website that provides the Aivis Project series model has been temporarily closed from September 8 to cooperate with the fact-finding investigation.
