It's simply crazy! AMD's next generation Zen6 CPU actually has 240MB L3 cache
According to the latest MLID news, the AMD Zen6 architecture CPU will bring significant upgrades: IPC is increased by 6%-8% (mainly floating-point operation), and may exceed 10% after superimposing game/multi-task optimization; at the same time, multi-layer 3D V-Cache technology is introduced, with a basic configuration of 96MB, and a double-layer stack can be expanded to 240MB L3 cache.
In comparison, Intel's Nova Lake architecture plans to launch a new 56-core product next year, with single-core/multi-core performance improvements of 10% and 60% respectively. In addition to cache upgrades, Zen6 will also improve the main frequency and core number through TSMC's advanced process and enhance its overall competitiveness.
It should be noted that the above information has not been officially confirmed. Zen6's official release is expected to wait for more than one year, and AMD will not disclose specific details in the short term.
