At the recent face-to-face meeting, Nintendo announced a number of first-party games for Switch 2, and "Kimby Sky Flyer" was one of them, but at that time the official only revealed a little information through a short CG trailer. And now, we have been confirmed that he directed the 2003 "Kimbi Racing" and was also the main creator of the "Nintendo Star Fight" series. He will return to direct the sequel to this work after 22 years. And now, Sakurai Masahiro himself has revealed another key message.

Recently, Masahiro Sakurai revealed on Twitter that "Kaby Sky Flyer" will be developed by Bandai Namco Studio. Of course, this is not the first time Bandai Namco has developed a game directed by Masahiro Sakurai, who previously led the development of "Nintendo Smash Brawl" (Wii U and 3DS versions) and "Nintendo Smash Brawl: Special Edition".

Bandai Namco has also participated in the development of other Nintendo first-party games, including Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart Tour, Mario Sports Superstar and ARMS.

In 2023, Bandai Namco officially announced the establishment of Studio 2 and Studio S, a team dedicated to undertake Nintendo's commissioned projects.

"Karbie Sky Flyer" will be exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform sometime this year.
