Sonic's head speaks out: leaks may destroy development plans and transactions
The previously exposed content of "Sonic Racing: Cross World" has been officially confirmed at the Summer Game Festival press conference. Regarding this leak, Sonic Studio head Takashi Iizuka expressed his professional insights in an interview with VGC.
"…I'm not targeting this game only (our), but from a distribution perspective, publishers are always trying to control, plan, organize and present information and surprises to people for the most fun, get the most attention, and [and] get people as excited as possible," said Takashi Iizuka.
"Many people who leak this information are disrupting the experience. They are disrupting plans that people have already made. If you are dealing with authorized content, sometimes leaks can disrupt transactions and can cause transactions to be blocked.
"We realize that a lot of people really want to get to know all this wonderful, cool, and interesting content right away. But in the end, if information is leaked, the plan can be destroyed and the content can be destroyed. We sincerely hope that everyone can think carefully and stop doing such negative things.
