Overall, there are 16 pictures! Black Ops 7 first release includes 4 small gun battle maps
Actio Blizzard recently confirmed that "Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" will include 4 small "assault maps" designed for 2v2 gunfight mode when it first, and the overall multiplayer map pool will reach 16. This new series that continues last year's "Black Ops 6" will adopt a futuristic setting, with the timeline behind "Black Ops 2", becoming the first COD work set in the future since "Black Ops 4" in 2018.
Details about the three major modes of the game have been disclosed previously: the campaign mode supports 4 people's cooperation throughout the whole process, and the controversial end-game "final battle" mission will support 32 people fighting on the open map; the cooperative zombie mode is said to be drawing on the classic "TranZit of Black Ops 2" "Map design, taking players to experience the terrifying journey of Demon Bus around many places; multiplayer mode is expected to include regular gameplay such as team death fights and confirmation of kills, and the key innovation will be reflected in the new mechanism and map design.
Treyarch design director Matt Scroons confirmed on Twitter that 4 of the 16 first-time maps are small assault maps, suitable for 2v2 gunfights and face-to-face modes. He also revealed that more new and old assault maps will be added after the release, which is consistent with the four small maps of "Signup", "Gathering", "Deep Pit" and "Warhead" when Black Ops 6 was first released.
It is not surprising to continue the trend of minimaps. After the release of Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6, compact maps similar to "cargo ships", such as MW3's "butcher shop", "treasure house" and BO6's "bullets" and "lifeline". These maps are suitable for the slow-paced, tactical 2v2 Rebirth-free gunfighting, and can also support the 6v6 high-speed melee mode - although not officially confirmed, BO7 is likely to continue this multi-mode compatible design.
Black Ops 7 is scheduled to be available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms on November 14, and will be added to the XGP subscription service simultaneously. Activision plans to hold the "COD Next" event on September 30, which will fully display the multiplayer content, and some first-time assault maps are expected to debut.
