Nintendo's statement read: "The pre-order of the Nintendo Switch 2 in Canada will not start on April 9, and will be consistent with the pre-order time in the United States. Pre-order information will be released later, and the release date will still be June 5." At present, the pre-order mechanisms in EU countries, the United Kingdom and Japan have been launched.

According to previous reports, Nintendo announced a delay in pre-order due to the latest US tariff policy, and although most of the Switch2 production lines have been moved from China to Vietnam and Cambodia, these two countries are also subject to high tariffs.
