PS5 Pro "Battlefield 6" can reach 120 frames! 100-110 frames in destruction scenarios
After experiencing a major setback in Battlefield 2042, DICE Studio is re-adjusting its development strategy and starting to improve the core mechanism of the game. They simultaneously launched Battlefield Labs - an experimental platform dedicated to testing Battlefield 6's new features and creativity.
A number of important information has been leaked through this test project, the most eye-catching of which is the game performance. According to reliable sources, Battlefield 6 will target 120 frames on the PS5 Pro host.
MP1st confirmed that even in destructive scenarios, the game can still maintain 100-110 frames. The minimum frame count only briefly dropped to the 80-frame range, and such fluctuations are extremely rare. The test screen is enabled with variable refresh rate (VRR) technology throughout the test screen, which can be stable for 120 frames in a regular scenario. Slight fluctuations will only occur when there are a large amount of debris and building collapse special effects on the screen.
It is worth mentioning that "Battlefield 2042" does not provide 120 frame mode on the current next-generation console. Although the test content of "Battlefield Lab" will not be completely ported to the official version, if EA invests resources to develop high frame rate mode during the test phase, it is very likely to be retained in "Battlefield 6".
