As the Steam store functions continue to be updated, users' browsing methods are also constantly evolving. Recently, Valve launched a new store menu design for the Steam client beta version, aiming to help users access common content more conveniently.

Valve said that the team is always committed to optimizing the user's experience of discovering new games on Steam, and this update is a continuation of this goal. The official encourages users to participate in the test and provide feedback. Interested players can join the Steam client beta version to experience new features.

  Main update content

  1. Integrate navigation bar

The link bar on the left and the blue menu bar on the top have now been merged into a unified navigation menu, making the important function entrance more concentrated and easy to find. Previously, some functions existed in two areas at the same time, making it difficult for users to quickly locate target content.

In addition, more pages of the store will provide searches and menus. By default, the menu bar will be hidden, and the user can re-enable it by simply scrolling the page.

  2. Strengthen the search panel

The new version of the search panel provides richer options:

Popular searches: Real-time display of community search trends

Recent browsing: Quickly return to viewed games

Extended search scope: Support searching game tags, publishers and other non-game content

Advanced search portal: Optimize the access path of filtering conditions to meet the needs of accurate searches

Selected search scope: Support searching game tags, publishers and other non-game content

Advanced search portal: Optimize the access path of filtering conditions to meet the needs of accurate searches

  3. Intelligent browsing system

A new "Browse" tab is added to help users quickly discover hot games in the community through multi-dimensional classifications such as popularity, release time, price and discounts.

  4. Integration of personalized recommendations

All kinds of recommended contents are now displayed in a concentrated manner. Users can explore new games in one-stop according to different aspects such as the game duration, purchased content or friend recommendations.

  5. Customized classification system

The newly designed classification tag system will intelligently recommend content based on user game preferences, helping players discover works that meet their personal tastes, and may even bring unexpected game types.

Valve emphasized that this update aims to create a smoother and personalized store experience and solve the problem of "hard to find common functions" feedback from users. Whether it is a veteran player or a new user, you can find the target content more efficiently.
