According to Nintendo Everything, Nintendo's newly acquired studio Shiver Entertainment confirmed that it will be responsible for the porting of the NS2 version of "WWE 2K25". This information comes from a recruitment announcement released by Shiver Entertainment's LinkedIn homepage, which clearly lists the NS2 version of "WWE 2K25" as one of the recent participating projects.

Previously, Shiver Entertainment had undertaken the Switch platform transplantation of works such as "Mortal Kombat 1" and "The Legacy of Hogwarts". The acquisition transaction was completed in May last year. Nintendo stated at the time that Shiver's focus will remain unchanged. "The acquisition of Shiver Entertainment aims to provide better resources for game development, while its work focus will continue to continue to carry out software porting and development for multiple platforms including Switch."

It is reported that compared with the previous work of the series "WWE 2K18" (which was once listed on the Nintendo platform), "WWE 2K25" has a better reputation, which is mainly due to the adjustment of the transplant team-"WWE" The Switch version of 2K18 is ported by Blind Squirrel Games. It is worth noting that WWE 2K18 has significantly improved performance during runtime through NS2 compatible mode, but this is more due to the enhanced performance of NS2 hardware.
