SE announced today that "Triangle Strategy" is now back on the Switch eShop!
Last month, Square Enix’s “Triangle Strategy” was suddenly removed from the Nintendo eShop, triggering heated discussions among netizens. But today, Square Enix officially announced: "Triangle Strategy" is back on the eShop. Although this removal does not affect players who already own the game - they can still download it again. However, during the period of withdrawal, new players will not be able to purchase this strategy role-playing game.
Lucky Unfortunately, the matter has now been resolved, although the publisher did not provide a reason for the removal. But we can speculate that the reason is the change of publisher, because a similar situation also happened with "Octopath Traveler", and we later learned that it had changed its publisher to Square Enix when it was re-listed.
Now, we have indeed seen that the publisher of "Triangle Strategy" has become Square Enix, rather than Nintendo, which originally released the Switch version of the game globally.
"Triangle Strategy" has also been released on the PC platform. In addition, it has recently been released on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3. In December 2022, the game's global digital sales and shipments exceeded 1 million copies, but since then, Square Enix has not announced the latest sales data.
