"It Works: Electronics Repair Simulator" (temporary translation: repaired: electronics repair simulator) jointly created by the well-known Polish simulation game manufacturer PlayWay and the developer Games Incubator was officially unveiled. It is expected to be launched on the Steam platform within 2025, supporting interfaces and subtitles in 13 languages including traditional Chinese.

This game focuses on a first-person electronic equipment maintenance simulation experience. Players will play the role of a 3C maintenance technician, starting from their own garage. The goal is to "resurrect" the faulty electronic products sent to repair and establish a professional reputation for the maintenance workshop.

Players will receive maintenance commissions from various customers to deal with various faulty electronic products including radio, old-fashioned telephone, radio, audio, mouse, gamepad, etc. The game focuses on details restoration, and requires the use of a multimeter to conduct circuit detection, find out damaged components, and then complete the welding circuit, replacement of parts, and cleaning up dust.

The maintenance process has changed from simple parts to complex board fault diagnosis. As the game progresses, the challenges will gradually escalate. Players must improve their skills and tools to deal with higher-level maintenance tasks.

In addition to maintenance simulation, the game also includes a business system. As a professional technician, you need to manage parts inventory and purchase important components such as resistors, capacitors, fuses, inductors, IC chips and other important components through the computer and network in the game to ensure sufficient materials.

After completing the commission, you can use the remuneration to upgrade the equipment and working environment, purchase energy drink refrigerators, brighter desk lamps, more accurate screwdrivers and welding pens, etc., to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Ignoring the workshop environment or fatigue work will affect role performance and service quality.

Different to PlayWay's most nonsensical simulation games, "It Works" adds plot and hidden events. Some repair equipment may have hidden secrets. Suspicious notes or hidden information may be found during booting or disassembly. Such as "Please delete all data" and other messages, which test players' moral choices and judgment abilities.

The developer said that the reputation system and the choice of order acceptance will affect the plot of the game, allowing players to experience the real business pressure of "small things may also lead to big disasters."

It Works: Electronics Repair Simulator provides an immersive simulation experience that is both learning and fun, and is truly restored to circuit structure and tool applications, which is expected to stimulate players' interest in the field of electrical engineering. The game is expected to be released on Steam in 2025, and interested players can add to the wish list.
