Sotai shows off the second generation Zone handheld console: Upgraded the AI ​​9 HX 370 processor!

Sotai showed off the engineering prototype of the second generation Zone handheld at the 2025 Taipei International Computer Exhibition. The handheld is equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, equipped with Radeon 890M core graphics, optional 24/32GB memory, and is preset as a handheld optimized Manjaro Linux system.

  The prototype of the second generation Sotai Zone handheld was first unveiled at the CES 2025 exhibition at the beginning of the year. The hardware configuration of the version displayed at this exhibition was finalized: 7-inch OLED display (1080P / 120Hz / 800nit peak brightness), 48.5Wh battery, 65W charging, 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, microSD card reader and dual USB4 interface.

  The new handheld console continues the original Hall effect rocker and Steam Deck-style dual trackpad design. The specially customized Manjaro Linux system has an exclusive handheld console operating interface and integrates a Wine emulator to achieve Windows gaming compatibility. Officially speaking, foreign media NotebookCheck said that the system of the Sotai second-generation Zone handheld console is still in the optimization stage.

  The official has not yet announced the specific release time and price of the new handheld console, but the processor configuration has been upgraded from the previous generation R7 8840U to the latest AI 9 HX 370, which is expected to bring new vitality to the Linux gaming ecosystem.
