"Battlefield 6" confirms that the host has exclusive cross-platform functions! Avoid PC plug-in risks

Battle Studio officially confirmed that when players turn off the cross-platform function, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users can still match cross-hosts to achieve a host-only online experience. This move is designed to help host players avoid PC platform plug-ins, and at the same time demonstrate the development team's emphasis on cheating issues.

Although the host-exclusive online function cannot eradicate the stubborn disease of online game cheating, Battlefield Studio has adopted multiple response strategies. The game will be equipped with the "Jaberfin" anti-cheating system independently developed by EA. Although the kernel-level protection software has had technical problems such as conflict with "Valorant" during public testing, its underlying protection mechanism will significantly increase the threshold for cheating.

In the latest interview with IGN, senior designer of console combat Matthew Nixon made it clear: "After closing the cross-platform option, players will enter a pure host online environment, and the system will not match PC players." In response to the recent controversy caused by exaggerated skins of games such as "Call of Duty" and "Fortnite", the development team emphasized that all skin designs of "Battlefield 6" follow the positioning of "hard-core realistic shooting game" to ensure that the appearance props are consistent with the overall style of the game.

As the 2025 Tokyo Game Show approaches, EA confirms that it will announce more details of the Battlefield 6 single-player campaign during the exhibition on September 26. The game is expected to be available on the PS5/Xbox Series X/S/PC platform in one month.
