Recently, industry insider Millie A revealed on social media that the total sales of PS5 have exceeded PSP and will surpass the GBA next week. Since its launch, the $500-priced console has surpassed the Volkswagen handheld product and showed an unexpected market performance.
Millie A also revealed that PS5 has successfully entered the top 10 console sales in history, and is expected to surpass Xbox 360 in October and surpass PS3 sales before Christmas.
According to Sony's first quarter financial report, PS5 shipped a total of 2.5 million units in the quarter, with a cumulative sales of 80.3 million units. As the PS5 life cycle enters the second half of the time, its sales are unlikely to increase significantly. As for the new generation of console PS6, it is revealed that it will be released in 2027.
