GOG's Happy One: Free "Warhammer 40K War Baptism" and gift package for free
Recently, GOG, a digital game platform under CD Projekt, launched a limited-time welfare event. Players can now receive the classic turn-based strategy game "Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War" released in 1999 for free. The game was developed by DreamForge, with the Aida Spiritual Battle as the core plot, integrating the human empire and the Tyran Zerg forces. Players only need to visit the GOG homepage banner to receive it with one click, and they will be permanently owned after entering the library.
This event also simultaneously launched the "Warhammer Skulls 2025 Digital Goodie Bag" digital gift package, which contains a variety of Warhammer theme HD wallpapers and exclusive discount codes (applicable to peripheral products and electronic games purchases in cooperative malls).
"Warhammer 40K: Baptism of War" was developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by Strategic Simulations. The game contains a 24-question campaign mode, where players will command the Ayda Ling tribe Iyondeng's Ark army to fight fiercely with the Human Empire and the Tyran Zerg to recover the lost colony. In Encounter Mode, players can choose Empire, Aida Spirit or Tyran Zerg to fight. The Empire forces include Empire Guard, Red Hunter Chapter and Battle Sisters. The game also supports multiplayer online battle function.
It is worth mentioning that this game has been pointed out by the critics to "overly similar" to it because it uses SSI's Panzer General 2 engine.
