Warner Games' "Gotham Knights" is expected to land on Nintendo Switch 2 game console
On January 6, foreign media Universonintendo revealed that a LinkedIn user who claimed to be involved in the development of "Gotham Knights" hinted that the game is expected to be launched on Nintendo's upcoming Switch 2 game console.
"Gotham Knights" has been launched on Sony PS5 and Microsoft Xbox Series S|X platforms, but it has not been released on the Nintendo Switch platform. Players generally believe that this is due to insufficient Switch performance. However, news from the LinkedIn account suggests that the game will still be coming to Nintendo platforms.
It is reported that "Gotham Knights" is an open world RPG comic adaptation game created by Warner Montreal Studio and will be released in October 2022. The game is set after the death of Batman, and four Gotham Knights - Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin - work together to save Gotham City. However, the game's reviews were not high, with IGN giving it a 5 and GameSpot only giving it a 4. The game has a favorable rating of 68% on the Steam platform, with mixed reviews.
IGN commented that "Gotham Knights" is a frustrating return and a significant step back from the Batman games more than ten years ago. Although the two-player co-op mode is interesting to explore Gotham City, and the dialogue and action design of the four characters are also unique, many basic flaws make it difficult for reviewers to recommend this game. For example, frame rate fluctuations, weak plot, and monotonous combat mode, etc., always make people feel that the game experience is unsatisfactory and it is difficult to share the joy of victory with friends.
