Musk's dream of Mars is shattered! The vision of abandoning his life-long colonization of Mars in 2024!
According to Sina Technology, Peter Thiel, a well-known Silicon Valley investor, revealed that his friend, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have changed his mind and no longer regard "colonizing Mars" as a viable political vision.
Tear shared his observations in a recent interview with New York Times columnist Ross Dussett. He said that Musk no longer believes that Mars colonization can become a realistic political solution to help mankind build a new society. Thiel specifically pointed out: "2024 is a year when Elon no longer believes in Mars."
The report mentioned that Musk has long targeted human expansion into the interstellar world, but Thiel pointed out that his plan once had ideological colors, but now only technological significance remains.
Musk once said that humans are expected to land on Mars in 2028, and in an interview with Fox News in May this year, Mars colonization is crucial to "ensure that civilization can survive for a long time in case of serious disasters on the earth."
